The Colombo Leopoldo boatyard participated in the IV Conference on Vintage Boats organized on January 28 by the Verbano Vintage Sail Association on Lake Varese.

The IV Conference hosted as many as 110 participants from all over Italy, two boats were exhibited at the entrance, the Dinghy 12 ‘Sagaro and the 1936 S. Pietro latin sail gozzo. Those who wished, the day after the conference, could take part in a guided tour at the Museo della Barca Lariana in Pianello Lario, on the upper Lake Como where a boat from our boatyard is exhibited.

Among the various interventions during the IV Conference on Vintage Boats, Roberta Lamperti, representing the ASDEC (Associazione Hulls of Vintage and Classics), projected a short promotional video on the Museo della Barca Lariana in Pianello Lario (CO), unique collection in the world with over 400 boats.

In 1917 Leopoldo Colombo was born on Lake Como, the future owner of the shipyard of the same name specializing in the construction and restoration of wooden boats, first of all the Dinghy 12 ‘produced by this company in over 350 units since 1943.

The Colombo Leopoldo boatyard participated in the Interboot 2016 nautical exhibition through the Como Chamber of Commerce.

The fair took place in Friedrichshafen (Germany) in one of the most evocative places on Lake Constance, from 7 to 25 September 2016.

The fair is international, interactive and interdisciplinary and touches on the themes: sailing, motor boats, sports, fun, diving, travel and charter, sports and young people.

The 1st “Colombo Leopoldo Trophy” was held 21st – 22nd June, 2008 c/o the “Bellano Sailing Club” on the “7th stage of the 7th National 12 foot Classic Dinghy Trophy.”

This was the first time that Colombo Leopoldo participated in the “TNational 12 foot Classic Dinghy Trophy.”

From “25th – 26th July, 2009”, the “2nd Colombo Leopoldo Trophy” was held c/o the “Bellano Sailing Club” on the 8th stage of the 8th National 12 foot Classic Dinghy Trophy.

This was the second time that Colombo Leopoldo participated in the “National 12 foot Classic Dinghy Trophy.

The “4th Colombo Leopoldo Trophy “ was held c/o the Bellano Yacht Club from 22nd – 24th July, 2012 and was the penultimate leg of the “10th Classic Dinghy 12p Trophy.”

Third official year of the “Classic 12 ‘Dinghy National Trophy” as a prize up for grabs in the Bellano regatta.

The 3rd Colombo Leopoldo trophy (held in memory of Leopoldo Colombo, the founder of the Colombo boatyard) was held c/o the Bellano Sailing Club on Lake Como from 3-5th September 2010 with 39 partecipants.

On the first day the strong local wind “Breva” blowing from the south helped the competitors and on the second day the wind increased making the race more interesting.

The winner of the trophy was Italo Bertacca.

Dear Dinghy-owner, I have great pleasure in inviting you to the first 12 f Dinghy regata to be held in Lake Constance. As well as 12 f Dinghies, Contender, Europe, Finn and Lasers boats will be participating.

As part of the Interboot Trophy, there will be the “COPPA COLOMBO” for 12 p Dinghies.

This regata is being held to commemorate the Centenary of the birth of Colombo Leopoldo and will be taking place at Friedrichshafen c/o Württembergischer Yacht-Club, 24 & 25 of September this year.
This was the first time that Colombo Leopoldo participated in the “National 12 foot Classic Dinghy Trophy.”
